He is a strong believer in the importance of the human-animal bond and helping people through their animals. Outside of work he enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, reading, video games, and playing guitar, drums, bass, and mandolin.

Veterinarian
Dr. Hitchcock joined AEH in April 2025 and has been a veterinarian since 2022. She is especially interested in emergency, critical care, and internal medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, quilting, cooking, hiking with her husband and husky, Kira, and relaxing with her cats and a good book.
Dr. Jesse E. Brown
Veterinarian
Dr. Brown has been practicing veterinary medicine for 23 years. With a background in research and advanced degrees in microbiology, animal physiology, and immunology, he enjoys solving complex cases and supporting both pets and their families through all stages of life. He moved to North Georgia 14 years ago to be near his grandkids and loves spending time with them. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, tinkering with old cars, fishing, hunting, and playing music with his family.
Dr. Kate McDuffee
Veterinarian
Dr. McDuffee has practiced veterinary medicine for 33 years and treats every patient like her own. She also works part-time with the Veterinary Information Network (VIN). Outside of work, she enjoys the North Georgia mountains, her church, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and living in a rural area close to the city.
