Dr. Hitchcock joined the Animal Emergency Hospital team in April 2025. She has been a veterinarian since 2022 and has a strong interest in emergency, critical care and internal medicine. She enjoys crafting, quilting, cooking with her husband, and spending time with their three dogs, three cats, and many chickens. When Dr. Hitchcock is not working at AEH, she can be found exploring hiking trails with her husband and Siberian husky, Kira or curled up in a comfy chair with several cats and a good book.

Veterinarian
Dr. Brown has been practicing veterinary medicine for 23 years. With a background in research and advanced degrees in microbiology, animal physiology, and immunology, he enjoys solving complex cases and supporting both pets and their families through all stages of life. He moved to North Georgia 14 years ago to be near his grandkids and loves spending time with them. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, tinkering with old cars, fishing, hunting, and playing music with his family.
Dr. Kate McDuffee

Dr. McDuffee has practiced veterinary medicine for 33 years and treats every patient like her own. She also works part-time with the Veterinary Information Network (VIN). Outside of work, she enjoys the North Georgia mountains, her church, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and living in a rural area close to the city.

Dr. Jarod Eddy has practiced veterinary medicine for 14 years since graduating from Auburn University. He is dedicated to high-quality care and client education. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, camping, mountain biking, and the outdoors.
